2022 LAPTOP PRESENTATIONS TO JEQ FOUNDATION'S SCHOLARS IN GHANA. FEBRUARY 14TH, 15TH, 21ST, AND MARCH 15TH, 2022
A brief ceremony was held on February 15th, 2022 at University of Cape Coast (UCC) to honor two JEQ Foundation's scholarship recipients for their academic excellence. The laptops were presented by Dr. Elizabeth I. Quansah, Co-Founder of JEQ Foundation. From the left, Daniel K. Walker, a second year medical student at UCC and 2020 JEQ Foundation's scholarship recipient. He received a new laptop for his academic excellence. Next to Daniel is Thomas Benson, a final year Education with Chemistry student and also a 2020 JEQ Foundation's scholarship recipient. He also received a new laptop for his academic excellence.
Present at the brief ceremony were Prof. Rosemond Boohene, Pro Vice Chancellor, UCC and Prof. George K.T. Oduro, Former Pro Vice Chancellor, UCC. Thanks to our Board Members, dedicated donors and supporters for making this possible!
University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) Laptops Presentations
A brief ceremony was held on March 15, 2022 at UENR Sunyani, Ghana to honor two JEQ Foundation's scholarship recipients for their academic excellence. The laptop were presented to Talita Anokye, a final year Biological student and Hayford Kankam Boadu, a third year Mechanical student at the University. Talita is in white blouse with her new laptop and Hayford is in light purple long-sleeved.
Present at the ceremony were: Prof. Elvis Asare-Bediako, Vice Chancellor, UENR, Dr. Mrs. Mercy Derkyi, Acting Director, Center for Professional Development, UENR, faculty members and administrators for making this event special.

University of Ghana Laptop Presentation
On February 21st, 2022, Dr. Quansah together with Mr. Michael Nartey, JEQ Foundation's representative for Greater Accra, Eastern and Northern Regions presented a new laptop and a Bluetooth to Sarah Jalima, a third year Political Science student and 2022 JEQ Foundation's scholarship recipient at University of Ghana, Legon. Another IT award was presented to Rejoice Kojopeni at third year Biomedical Science student and a 2022 JEQ Foundation's scholarship recipient at University of Ghana, Legon.
HILDAGARD M. MUSAH, our 2020 tuition, housing and laptop scholarship recipient gave back to two elementary schools in Shama Juction at the Western Region of Ghana on May 25, 2022.
Hildagard M. Musah, a 2020 tuition, housing, and
laptop recipient and a final year Purchasing and
Supply Chain student at Takoradi Technical
University (TTU), performed her community services
at two elementary schools at Shama junction in the
Western Region of Ghana. The schools are:
Stella School Complex and
Divine Pace Setter’s Academy
Hildagard taught the students some basic SAFETY RULES in school and at home and gave out:
80 Customized Notepads
Biscuits (cookies in America) with her own little savings.
This is what Hildagard said about her experience:
“It was a nice experience, aside from the
educative part, it was also fun, and I wish to do much more even bigger things”.
JEQ Foundation is all about empowering underserved
students and giving them the opportunity to get
quality education and the resources to change their
communities. With our support, we can ensure she will
not have to use her own money to serve her community
while she is still in school. Our goal is for Hildagard to
be in a better socio-economic position to do more
in her community after she graduates from
school this year.
The JEQ Foundation was honored by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Kappa Chi Chapter this morning with their Global Impact Award during their 114th Founders' Day Program on February 26, 2022. The citation for the award was as follows: "For Your Pursuit of Excellence and Commitment to Impacting the Underserved Locally and Internationally".
Dr. Joseph Emmanuel Quansah, the Co-Founder of the Foundation received the award on behalf of the JEQ Foundation.

Who We Serve
We serve poor but excellent students who have:
Graduated from senior high school with exceptional West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) results and have gained admission to an accredited college or university in Ghana
Enrolled in an undergraduate program in Ghana.
Scholarship is for only Undergraduate College/University students in Ghana

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Who is eligible for a scholarship?
Only undergraduate students in Ghana.
A student who has already enrolled in a college and or university with at least a CGPA of 3.3
A student who has graduated from Senior High School(SHS) in Ghana and has obtained an official admission letter to an accredited college and or a university. The students must have at least 4As and 4Bs from the WAEC examination.
A student whose parents combined monthly income is less than 600ghc and a student with single parent making a monthly income of less than 400ghc in Ghana.

Q: How do I prove that I am needy/poor student?
Applicants will submit their parent(s) or guardian's financial and other related documents for evaluation.
The Foundation will follow up with all applicants to access the economic status of every family member to determine whether a student meets the need-based scholarship requirements or not.
