Hello Dr. Quansah,

Here is my second community service for 2025.

Date: Saturday, June 14

Title: An outreach program to encourage children in Nyankpala community on the importance of formal education.

As part of th Joseph and Elizabeth Quansah foundation scholarship commitment to community development and youth empowerment, I organized an outreach session targeted at children within Nyankpala community who showlowinterest in attending school. This initiative was born out of a strong desire to promote education and inspire a sense of hope, confidence, and purpose among these children.

In Nyankpala community, a significant number of children face challenges with school attendance due to a lack of motivation, limited parental support, or discouraging circumstances. I observed that many children were gradually losing interest in education, which threatens their future potential and the development of the community at large. The purpose of this community service was to:

-Encourage school attendance and restore value in education, instill self-belief and a positive attitude toward learning, provide a fun and safe space for learning outside the classroom, and to strengthen community ties through youth engagement.

The outreach session was hosted at a central location where children could safely gather. More than 30 children were in attendance. The day included the following activities:

Welcome and Introduction: I opened the session with a welcoming address,

highlighting the purpose of the gathering and encouraging the children to participate freely.

Storytelling and Book Reading: A volunteer read a motivational book centered on courage, education, and personal growth. We discussed the moral lessons together.

Motivational Talk: I delivered a message focused on the importance of education, using simple language and real-life examples. Key themes included self-worth, dreaming big, and perseverance.

Songs and Rhymes: We sang educational songs and moral rhymes to reinforce the lessons in a fun way.

Games and Interactive Activities: Educational games were played to spark interest in learning and teamwork.

Open Discussion:

Children shared their dreams and fears, and we responded with

encouragement and practical guidance.

This community service was a humbling and fulfilling experience. I believe that small acts of mentorship and education can change the lives of many children. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve and will continue to find creative ways to empower the next generation through education, compassion, and community action.
